Job Openings

SFC is seeking an innovative, organized individual to coordinate the implementation of food assistance programs at SFC Farmers’ Markets and SFC Double Dollars project across 14 produce sales outlets. This position is housed within the SFC’s Food Access department. The Food Access department facilitates access to locally grown produce for low-income communities by incentivizing purchases through a network of sales outlets and situating farm stands in high-needs areas.

The Food Access Manager provides oversight, coordination and training of all aspects of operations for food access benefits programs at the SFC Farmers’ Markets, including SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC (Women, Infant, and Children), Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), and SFC’s Double Dollars Project. The Food Access Manager also supports the expansion of Double Dollars to other market partners.


SFC’s Grow Local program improves community health by helping people gain knowledge and skills, access land, and find resources to grow food. We are looking for an intern to assist with a variety of Grow Local projects that support home gardeners and community and school gardens, as well as to assist with youth field trips in SFC’s Teaching Garden. This intern should have excellent communication skills and should be proficient at conducting research independently. This volunteer position is 20 hours per week. The duration of the position is for mid-August through December, with the option to continue in the spring.
