Fotonovela Press Conference at Expo-Amigha

Our Fotonovela is a collaborative effort between Sustainable Food Center, Mama Sana Vibrant Woman, Latino Health Care Forum and Asian American Resource Center Nonprofit. The Fotonovela will be presented at Expo-Amigha 2017 on April 29th at Norris Conference Centers in Austin.

The Fotonovela titled “Conozca los Mercados SFC: Bienestar a tu Alcance” highlights real-life characters from the Austin community. They take us step-by-step to learn how families who are dedicated to caring for the health of their loved ones can obtain up to $30 dollars in additional benefits, through SFC Double Dollars, when they buy fruits and vegetables at participating markets.

“We are very happy to be able to offer this educational tool in your [Spanish] language, because, in addition to being enjoyable, it honors our cultural legacy. The content of SFC’s Fotonovela is relatable to the public it is directed to. This is a story that can be yours”, commented Sayuri Yamanaka, Community Engagement Coordinator at SFC.

Please join us for our Fotonovela press conference at Expo-Amigha.
