Sustainable Food Center cultivates a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food. SFC envisions a food secure community where all children and adults grow, share, and prepare healthy, local food.
SFC is your source for information related to food access, health and nutrition, sustainable agriculture, organic food gardening, and farm direct projects such as farmers’ markets and farm to school.
We provide in-house experts on a range of topics and can secure client, partner, and program participant interviews. We are available to help media get substantive, newsworthy information, unique feature ideas, and beautiful photos of the community gardens, farmers markets, cooking and gardening classes, and other programs we offer.
If you are a reporter, photographer, or producer planning an article about SFC, SFC programs, or a visit to any of the SFC Farmers’ Markets or the community gardens we work with, contact:
If you are a student or researcher and would like to interview SFC staff about food policy or any of our programs, please contact us. Requests by students for interviews must be submitted with at least 2 weeks notice. We strive to answer all student interviews, but due to the high volume of requests received we may not be able to answer all student interview request submitted.
