WIC Voucher Program

(Farmers' Market Nutrition Program)

Until September 26, 2020, SFC will be providing the WIC Voucher Program (Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program) at both SFC Farmers’ Markets. Each eligible participant can receive a $30 booklet of vouchers. These benefits will be doubled with an additional $30 in Double Up Food Bucks. Vouchers can be used to pre-order a $30 WIC Produce Box of fruits and vegetables or you can spend them with individual farmers at each SFC Farmer’s Market.

Current WIC customers (excluding infants) are eligible to receive a WIC voucher booklet during August and September and are distributed once per customer. WIC Vouchers can only be used at SFC Farmers’ Markets.

Want more information? Need help to place an order? Give us a call: 512- 910 5860

Step 1: Verify Your Eligibility

You will need to verify your eligibility for the WIC Vouchers using the shopping list you received from your WIC nutritionist. If you do not have the shopping list available, please contact WIC by emailing: WIChelp@austintexas.gov or calling (512) 972-4942 and they will email the shopping list to you. You only need to complete this step 1 time.

Select this link and complete the information using your WIC shopping list. An associate will then follow up with you shortly after to confirm your eligibility. This step may take up to two business days.

Step 2: HOW TO USE YOUR VOUCHERS

After you have received your eligibility confirmation email, you will have the option to either pre-order a WIC Produce Box for quick and easy pick-up at the Farmers’ Market OR you may pick-up your vouchers at the Farmers Market and use them to shop with individual farmers at the market. .

In your confirmation email, you will receive a verification code. Use this code to place an order for a $30 box of fruits and vegetables. You may order one box for each booklet of vouchers you are eligible for.

Be sure to select a pick-up location for your WIC Produce Box. You may choose either the Downtown or Sunset Valley Farmers’ Market. Pick-up times are Saturdays between 9am-12pm.

If you do not want to pre-order a WIC Produce Box, but still want to use your vouchers with individual farmers at SFC Farmers’ Markets, you may do so. But we ask that you still verify your eligibility and schedule a time of arrival at the market. This will allow us to hand you your vouchers upon arrival, reduce the amount of time you need to spend at the market, and it will help keep everyone safe.

If you do not want to use this online system you still have the option to get your vouchers at the SFC Farmers’ Market and shop with individual vendors. Learn more about that here.

We appreciate your understanding at this time.
