SFC and the Junior League of Austin

We are thrilled to be in our fourth year of partnership with the Junior League of Austin (JLA). This relationship places hard-working Junior League volunteers at our largest outward facing program - SFC Farmers’ Markets. We are also grateful for the funding that the Junior League contributes to support all our programming.

JLA volunteers assist at the Information Booth alongside our traditional volunteers. They provide invaluable info to market shoppers about vendors & musicians, they sell SFC merchandise, and provide assistance wherever needed. Volunteers are also help out at our Taste the Place tent, where they prepare small sample bites provided by the vendors and farmers of the market.

The JLA is “an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable”.

SFC is proud to partner with this amazing organization that helps us provide a great experience to our market patrons. Next time you're shopping at the SFC Farmers' Markets, be sure and stop by to say hello to our Junior League volunteers!
