We’re shakin’ and movin’ at our new home for the SFC Farmers’ Market East this Tuesday, March 3rd, to the beat of Choctaw Wildfire, a ‘must see’ Austin trio consisting of piano, upright bass and drums with honky tonk tunes that can bust out in the veins of full-blown boogies to poignant ballads.

In addition, we’ll have the veteran Taste Off cook master representing on the SFC team, Matt Macioge, going head to head with Rick Cruz of El Cruz Ranch in a Taste Off using the main elements of greens for celebration of Greens Month at all SFC Farmers’ Markets in March. The audience attending the market at our new site at 2921 E. 17th Street (one block south of Alexander and MLK) will be the judges for the Taste Off to declare the winner.

Kid’s activities will include a scavenger hunt to find unusual and usual things at the market, with $2 market bucks to spend as prizes for any completed entry. A brimming bag full of market goods will be given away too, shoppers just have to enter a free drawing and be present to win.
