Farm to Work has a Fresh New Look

We are thrilled to unveil the new Farm to Work icon!

With roots dating back to 2007, Farm to Work began through a partnership with Sustainable Food Center, the Department of State Health Services and WebChronic, LLC. Through this modified Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, worksites are matched with small family farms that deliver baskets of fresh, local produce directly to employees at the workplace. The program offers employees increased access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and addresses some key barriers many employees face when trying to add more fruits and vegetables to their diets. Farmers are given the opportunity to establish new customer relationships, diversify their farm operations, and sell more food to the local market.

The past few years have ushered in meteoric growth in program participation and sales. Farm to Work has benefitted from market trends towards convenience food delivery models, and it’s exciting to see more farm fresh direct delivery services in our community. It is also incumbent upon us to continue to communicate the values this program brings to producers and consumers as a project of the Sustainable Food Center. With this fresh new look, it is clear to our customers and the community that Farm to Work is part of a larger, mission-driven organization that cultivates a healthy community. We also look forward to rolling out a suite of marketing materials that worksites champions can use to encourage employees to get to know their local farmers and enjoy delicious, healthy food!
