We are so grateful for the time and talent donated to us by our wonderful volunteers! Every year, volunteers help us keep our programs going. We have limited opportunities available and our volunteer roster is currently full.

All new individual volunteers are required to pay a $10 administration fee and complete a criminal background check*.

*does not apply to group volunteer workdays in our Teaching Garden

Volunteer Opportunities vary from week to week and month to month. SFC offers episodic opportunities on any given day of the week as well as committed on-going opportunities.

Our 2.5-acre Teaching Garden is a place for visitors of all ages to learn about sustainable gardening methods, and consists of vegetable production beds, rain gardens, a children’s sensory garden, and a greenhouse and apiary – all constructed with the help of volunteers!

Group volunteer workdays consist of individual seasonal gardening tasks and larger projects that require teamwork. Preparing, planting and weeding vegetable beds is an on-going task for volunteers, and one-off projects like constructing gardening structures are done...
