Classes at SFC

With SFC’s new vision, we’re challenging ourselves to adapt to Austin’s rapidly changing local food system to make the biggest impact we can. We’re stepping up where we’re needed and stepping back where we’re not. With this in mind, we no longer offer our own Public Cooking Classes. Instead, we have opened up our space for others to teach cooking classes of their own!

The classes listed below are held in the SFC Kitchen Classroom by instructors who offer their own curriculum and recipes. For more information on any of these classes, please contact the instructors directly.

Plant Based Sushi Class

March 15, 1-4pm. Join Chef Morgan Mazur and learn the basics of plant-based sushi!

You will learn:

  • How to prepare sushi rice
  • How to cut vegetables and proteins for sushi rolls
  • Sushi rolling techniques
  • Plating techniques

Please come ready to cook as this is a HANDS-ON class! You will enjoy a full meal of sushi at the end of the class!
