Texas Mamma Jamma Ride

September 24, 2016 marks the 8th year of the Mamma Jamma Ride. The Ride raises much needed funds for our agency and eight other local non-profits dedicated to helping Central Texans coping with breast cancer. Some of our sister agencies include Breast Cancer Resource Center, Team Survivor and Care Communities. Our share of the proceeds allows us to offer cooking and nutrition classes designed just for those dealing with this disease. Being part of the beneficiary network allows us to work with the other organizations to better recruit and serve clients.

The Ride will be held in Martindale, TX along the San Marcos river. Ride routes range from 15 to 100 miles, and riders of all ages, shapes and skill are welcome—there is something for everyone! One of the best parts of the Ride is that all summer long there are FREE training rides across Central Texas.

Sustainable Food Center will be providing support for the FREE training rides on July 9, leaving from the SFC headquarters and July 23, leaving from the SFC Downtown Farmers’ Market.
