Hilda Gutiérrez is a Food Access Manager of the Sustainable Food Center. In that capacity, she leads SFC’s efforts to improve food security in Central Texas. Her approach to this work is driven by her commitment to social justice and the elimination of health disparities that disproportionately affect underprivileged populations.
Hilda is a native of the Rio Grande Valley and the daughter of Mexican immigrants. She holds a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Feminist studies. Prior to joining SFC she worked in the movement to end gender based violence and the immigrant rights movement. On her free time, she loves to cook, practice yoga and go on nature walks with close friends.
